Abolish the Electoral College

The Electoral College is a antiquated voting system, slipped into the U.S. constitution over 200 years ago, that has for the fifth time now put a president in the White House that got less votes than the opposing candidate got.

Democrat Hillary Clinton got over 2 million 800 thousand more votes than Republican Donald Trump, but Trump, by gaming the voting system via the Electoral College, was made president and put in the White House, against the will of the voters.

How many more votes would it have taken for Hillary Clinton to win the election with the Electoral College being as corrupt and vulnerable to manipulation as it is? 5 million, 10 million, 20 million!

The Electoral College is a sham voting system that needs to be abolished and replaced with an actual vote of the people, which is the only fair and honest way to elect all political candidates including the President of the United States.

Empower your vote to make your vote count!

Abolish the Electoral College voting system and replace it with a national popular vote!

Elect the president by a national popular vote whereby awarding all the electoral votes to the winner of the nationwide popular vote and thereby abolishing the need for the unfair Electoral College system.

And here's further proof of the corrupt nature of the Electoral College voting system.

Democrat Al Gore got 543 thousand more votes than Republican George W. Bush. But by the power of the Electoral College, Republican George W. Bush was put in as President.

Democrat Grover Cleveland got 90 thousand more votes than Republican Benjamin Harrison, yet Republican Benjamin Harrison became President.

Democrat Samuel J. Tilden got 254 thousand more votes than Republican Rutherford B. Hayes, but Republican Rutherford B. Hayes was given the Presidency.

Democrat Andrew Jackson got 39 thousand more votes than Republican John Quincy Adams. And again, the Republican, John Quincy Adams was made President.

This has happened 5 times now with the Democrat winning the popular vote and all 5 times the Republican was given the Presidency.

This is not just a simple coincidence or a rare occurrence as those on the right would have you believe. It has happened 2 times now with the last 3 Presidents.

No my friend, it's a sophisticated, planned out, and well orchestrated attack on our Democracy, to manipulate the presidential election by, and in favor of the republican party.

More Sham Elections to Come

It has become a widely held belief that with the Electoral College voting system, these sham elections will happen in greater numbers and will produce the same results as those from the five previously mentioned presidential elections, with the Democrat winning the popular vote of the people, and the Republican taking the Presidency.

Right Wing Think-Tanks Hard at Work

The right wing, Republican think-tanks are hard at work figuring every angle to come up with ways to manipulate and game the voting system in their favor and will stop at nothing to achieve their goals.

And they've gotten real good at it.

They have discovered that the U.S. Presidential election can be won with less than 23% of the popular vote when you know how and where (which states) to manipulate the Electoral College voting system, cheating millions of Americans out of their vote.

The United States is built on democratic principles of fairness and equality for every person.

Fairness and equality for all voters only comes through popular vote elections where every vote counts equally. Not by 538 electors (out of a nation of more than 320 million people).

And because they're not legally required to vote for any particular candidate, these so-called electors can vote for anyone they want to vote for.

There is no fairness, there is no equality, in the Electoral College system of voting.

This method (Electoral College) of electing the President of the United States (and it's the only one like it in the world) has been referred to as strange, jury-rigged, outdated, unfair, indirect, broken, misrepresentative, disproportionate, delusional, bizarre and the list could go on.

Fair and honest elections where every vote is counted equally is what we are all about.

And electing the president by a national popular vote, contrary to what many people have been lead to believe, does not require an amendment to the constitution.

The National Popular Vote Interstate Compact

In conjunction with this effort, we are supporting and helping to advance an initiative known as "The National Popular Vote Interstate Compact" that is an agreement where states and the District of Columbia award all there electoral votes to the presidential candidate who wins the overall national popular vote.

More than a dozen states have now joined the compact, and when enacted in states totaling 270 electoral votes, The National Popular Vote Interstate Compact (NPVIC) will determine the outcome of the next presidential election by national popular vote, not by the Electoral College. Basically abolishing the need for the Electoral College and putting it and its manipulators out of business.

But we need your help.

At this critical time in our voting process....educating voters everywhere to get onboard with this initiative, to get their states to join the compact (NPVIC) is of paramount importance.

Politicians do listen to their voters and subsequently follow what the voters want.

Unless you are a Millionaire/Billionaire who can buy political influence, your vote is your single most important right on how you want government to run.

Don't let the Electoral College manipulators and foreign governments run by autocrats and evil dictators sweep your vote under the rug.

Our democracy hangs in the balance.

Help spread the word about it, and if you can, please donate to this cause to keep this effort alive and going and to help support those who are working diligently to achieve fair and honest elections, where every vote counts equally.

Every donation, no matter what size, large or small will help.

"Political Party Game"

It's been said that being the president is nothing more than a big political game to Donald Trump and he's been referred to as "The Gamester in Chief", and when his presidency is over, he'll just go back to his billionaire life of ease.

The President of the United States, and any countries president, should be more concerned about their country and all of its people, than their own personal gain and gamesmanship while in office.

And with that, we have created a party game poster that is sure to bring smiles and laughter to (almost) everyone who sees and plays it.

We call it "Pin The Tail On The Rump".

And, donations of $25.00 or more will receive a full size (17in. x 23in.) copy of it as seen below, with proceeds going to help keep  our elections honest, fair and equal.

Government (should be) of the people, by the people, for the people. And not just a privileged few (the wealthy) who can buy all the government influence they want.

Abortion, the Supreme Court and the Republican Party

(The real truth they don't want you to know)

In January 1973, the U.S. Supreme Court issued a 7-2 decision holding that the Fourteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution provides a pregnant woman's right to choose whether or not to have an abortion.

In this 1973 landmark decision of the Supreme Court, 7 of the 9 justices voted to legalize abortion and 2 of the 9 justices voted to not legalize abortion.

Here is a breakdown with the name of each justice, how each one voted, who appointed them and what political party each justice was affiliated with (Democrat or Republican).

Name                           Vote           Appointed By           Political Party

Lewis F. Powell Jr.        For             Nixon                         Republican

Thurgood Marshall        For             L. Johnson                Democrat

Harry A. Blackman        For             Nixon                         Republican

William H. Rehnquist     Against      Nixon                         Republican

Byron R. White              Against      Kennedy                    Democrat

William J. Brennan Jr.    For            Eisenhower               Republican

Warren E. Burger           For            Nixon                         Republican

William O. Douglas        For            Roosevelt                  Democrat

Potter Stewart                 For            Eisenhower              Republican

Let's now tally up the results of this fact proven information.

Of the 9 justices, 3 of them were appointed by Democrat presidents. Of the 3, 2 justices voted to legalize abortion, Thurgood Marshall and William O. Douglas and 1 justice, Byron R. White voted not to legalize abortion.

The remaining 6 justices were appointed by Republican presidents. Of these 6, 5 justices voted to legalize abortion, Lewis F. Powell Jr., Harry A. Blackman, William J. Brennen Jr., Warren E. Burger and Potter Stewart with William H. Rehnquist voting not to legalize abortion.

One Republican voted against abortion legalization and one Democrat voted against abortion legalization.

Five Republicans voted to legalize abortions and two Democrats voted to legalize abortions.

By a more than 2 to 1 majority of Republicans over Democrats, the Republicans made abortions legal.

And even if all the Democrats had voted against legalizing abortion, they could not have stopped the Republicans from legalizing abortions.

So there you have it. It was the Republicans that legalized abortions, and that's the real  truth they don't want you to know.

Teflon Don

George Washington did not intend

that Donald Trump should master men

Washington planned our government you see

to be a most impartial referee

but Trump as referee

is planning the lives of you and me

he sits upon the White House throne

and spews his venom through the public microphone

but some day the devil will appear

and take Teflon Don far far from here

he'll take him to his home to stay

oh what will we do with Teflon Don away?

Stories of Stupidity

My friend and co-worker MB came driving in to work one day in a new red 4-door sedan that he had just bought for his family and was very proud and excited to have a brand new car.

MB drove his new car to and from work almost every day for about 9 or 10 months.

Then one morning MB showed up for work driving an older SUV type vehicle with simulated wood grain panels down the sides that were in a deteriorated condition and the paint had some scratches and discoloration.

I ask MB, "did you buy a beater to drive back and fourth to work"?

Now MB was quite the conversationalist who liked to talk religion and politics as though they were one and the same and started his reply by saying this, "I just love my preacher and my preacher just loves a red car" and that he had traded his new car to his preacher and took the older SUV in on trade.

I ask MB, "Did you get a good deal with the trade"?

MB said "Well, my preacher got a good deal". And that's all he said about it.

MB and I worked in a union shop and at times in sort of a close proximity to each other.

We would talk about things like family, work, religion, politics, current events, sports, you name it, we would talk about it.

Work related issues were always on the minds of everyone.

As it happened, a presidential election was fast approaching and much information was being provided to us on how the political candidates (Republications and Democrats) felt and what their voting records revealed about labor issues and especially union labor issues.

Like many churches, MB's church was heavy on members tithing and making sacrifices in their lives in accordance with their particular denomination's beliefs.

MB went on to say that concerning politics, he had a talk with his preacher and his preacher told him that knowing MB worked in a union shop with good pay and benefits, and also knowing that democrats were more labor union friendly, that MB voting for republicans could be his sacrifice.

At this point in the conversation, I could not resist asking MB a few questions about his preacher.

I said to MB, "Tell me about your preacher."

MB said, "He's a great guy, a real evangelical."

I said, "What kind of house does he live in? Is it the church owned parsonage or does he own a house?"

MB said, "He owns his house. It's a very nice spacious home on a few acres that he and his family (wife and kids) live in."

I said, "I already know what kind of car he drives, but what about his wife's car?"

MB said, "She actually took the car he was driving because they felt that she needed a more dependable car with hauling their kids and it was a full size sedan."

I said, "What kind of clothes do they wear?"

MB said, "He mainly wears suites, being a church minister, he has a need to look his best. The rest of his family is also well dressed. His wife does not shop at the thrift stores."

I said, "How much money does the church pay him and are there any additional benefits that go along with it?"

MB said, (not a quote) That his preacher makes substantially more money than he makes and the church pays a portion of the health insurance for the preacher and his family.

MB knew all this because he was a member of the church steering committee.

I told MB that his preacher had it pretty good there at his church. MB smiled.

What I wanted to say was, "what is your preacher's sacrifice?" But I didn't.

I also have come up with a name (evan-jackals) for people that I believe take advantage of others in the name of religion.
